God's Impact On A Small Church

I was asked to preach at a small church in El Salvador as part of our most recent mission trip. The wife of the pastor had recently lost her job because the organization she worked for was closed down. She has two boys and her youngest was recently diagnosed with ADHD and possibly on the spectrum and was needing more attention from her. Being a strong christian, she knows God has a plan, but the money crunch from losing the job was weighing on her. My message for the morning was "God Owns It All" and how he not only owns our money, but our abilities, time, energy and experiences. I spoke about how He uses these experiences to grow us and make us depend on Him even more. That He allows things to happen so we can attend to the things most critical at the moment. She has applied at a couple of other job opportunities, but keeps getting turned down. This coupled with my message gave her peace that God has her right where He wants her. Staying home with her son for a season to help him become the man God wants him to be!
