When we arrived in field, the LIA team received us with much enthusiasm and care. The entire trip couldn't have been more prepared for by the LIA leaders and additionally by our team. We certainly benefitted from the pre-trip meetings, our retreat led by Dr. Kaufman and the weekly zoom prayer and devotion calls with the In country LIA team. I couldn't have been more thankful to get to see how God is working in and through LIA and the local churches they partner with in the most vulnerable of communities in Uganda. I got to come alongside LIA and go on home visits, train pastors and leaders in discipleship and evangelism. We got to encourage school teachers and students and engage in economic empowerment sessions within 3 communities. We assisted in one of the numerous medical clinics LIA sponsors and saw people come from all over to receive care and prayer. LIA is a model for wholistic community transformation and it was a privilege to encourage and support them in all that they are doing there. I hope others will join when the opportunity arises. It's a God appointment you won't want to miss.
