2024 LIA Adjumani Uganda - Evangelism Trip
This trip is open to everyone and is being facilitated by the Crestwood campus.
Join our Southeast team as we partner with LIA in Uganda. We will be walking alongside the Pastors in the Adjumani community as they reach out to refugees in prayer, discipleship, and community.
Restrictions:
1) Trip members must be adult members of Southeast Christian church or have verified attended for at least 6 months. Youth over age 12 applying must have a parent applying and both must actively participate on all aspects of the trip.
2) Trip members must have a current passport with an expiration date that goes 6 months beyond the last day of the trip.
3) Trip members must be able to actively walk long distances over uneven terrain and climb stairs.
4) Daily basic travel insurance is included in your trip costs.

Requirements
Prerequisites
- Passport must be valid through January 19, 2025. If it expired before that date, it needs to be renewed ASAP.
- Uganda may require vaccinations. Please check www.cdc.gov to find out. Costs for vaccinations are not covered by the trip cost or Southeast. Payment will be required when services are rendered.
- If over the age of 18, MinistrySafe must be completed and current. The Missions Ministry will send this to each person who does not have it after they have signed up for the trip.
- Please upload clear, color copies of passports to ServiceReef via the My Dashboard link at top of page in jpeg or pdf format. Passport must be valid 6 months from trip return date.
- Southeast Volunteer Application must be completed within 5 days of trip application. Missions Ministry will send to each applicant who has not already completed one.
Responsibilities
- Uganda is a culturally diverse country with a rich heritage, and it is important to respect and appreciate local customs and traditions while visiting.
- Modest clothing is generally recommended, especially when visiting rural areas or religious sites. Both men and women should avoid wearing revealing clothing and opt for attire that covers the shoulders and knees out of respect for local customs and traditions.
- When dining, it is customary to eat with your right hand, as many Ugandans traditionally eat with their hands. However, it is also acceptable to use utensils if you prefer.
- Updated vaccine requirements are NOT included in trip cost. Required vaccines are sole responsibility of participants. Please visit the CDC website to check requirements for your destination. https://wwwnc.cdc.gov/travel/destinations/list
