Hope Collaborative Board Member Position Summary
Hope Collaborative is seeking dedicated individuals to serve on its Board of Directors. Board members play a vital role in guiding the organization’s mission to serve youth through trauma-informed programs such as Public School Outreach (PSO) and Diversion initiatives, while mobilizing the church to serve the community.
Meeting Commitment:
- Attend four regular board meetings annually (one per quarter)
- Be available for up to two additional meetings if needed
- Charting strategic direction
- Identifying short- and long-term organizational needs
- Approving the annual budget
- Ensuring financial, legal, and ethical integrity
- Supporting the fulfillment of Hope Collaborative’s mission
Board Member Commitments:
As a Board member, I commit to:
- Care – Acting in the best interest of Hope Collaborative
- Loyalty – Prioritizing the organization and avoiding conflicts of interest
- Respect – Engaging in open, thoughtful dialogue with fellow members
I will:
- Attend all Board meetings unless excused; prepare and participate actively
- Stay informed about Hope Collaborative’s programs and impact
- Participate in key events (e.g., Annual Celebration, Volunteer Luncheon, Diversion Graduation)
- Complete and honor the annual Conflict of Interest Information Form
- Recommend potential new Board members
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Assist in donor appreciation and outreach
- Make a personal financial contribution annually, based on my means
- Serve on at least one Board Committee in the future as needed
Statement of Faith Summary:
All Board members are required to affirm Hope Collaborative’s Statement of Faith, which reflects our Christian foundation and values. In summary, we believe:
- The Bible is the inspired and authoritative Word of God
- God exists eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
- Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, whose life, death, and resurrection provide salvation
- Regeneration by the Holy Spirit is essential for salvation
- The Holy Spirit empowers believers to live godly lives
- There is a resurrection for both the saved and the lost
- Believers are spiritually united in Christ, with equality across race, gender, and class
- Life is sacred from conception to natural death; marriage is a lifelong union between one man and one woman

Preparation
- Following your expressed interest, you will be contacted by our executive director to make introductions, answers questions and share the next steps which include introductions to programing, meeting with a couple current board members, completions of a few forms then if desired a vote of approval by the board.
