2024 Ability Ministry Tennessee
The Southeast Christian SW Campus is facilitating a trip to visit Ability Ministries in Louisville, Tennessee. This team will be a mixed bag of ages, skills sets, and experiences so you can bet it will be awesome! It's open to anyone so please be sure to contact the listed Team Leader for more information.
What will you be doing? Each trip to Ability Ministries varies but here are examples of what the team can expect:
1. One team recently helped build an accessible boat ramp so residents would be able to ride a pontoon boat.
2. Activities, crafts, and recreational opportunities to share with the residents.
3. Leading devotionals or song times/worship.
4. Home improvements such as painting, landscaping, etc.
5. Cooking meals together.
6. Offering artistic talents such as photography or videography.
The team leader will be in contact with the partner and will be able to provide the team with more detailed itinerary information at team meetings or the team retreat.
Ability Ministry is an independent Christian nonprofit that provides resources, curriculum, training, and residential services designed to equip and empower the disability community.
Restrictions:
1) Trip members must be adult members of Southeast Christian church or have verified attended for at least 6 months. Youth over age 12 applying must have a parent applying and both must actively participate on all aspects of the trip.
2) Trip members must be able to actively walk long distances over uneven terrain and climb stairs.
3) Daily basic travel insurance is included in your trip costs.

- Minors and Vulnerable Adults will have additional forms to be signed & notarized. These are found under My Dashboard after applying.
Restrictions
- SE Volunteer Application is required for all participants. Missions Ministry will check if everyone has a current app.
- All adults must complete MinistrySafe online training. Missions Ministry will send link if participant needs one.
