Two days ago we went to Water Gardens which is a homeless shelter in Joplin, MO. When we got there we got to sit down and have awesome conversations with these people while eating tacos. It was pretty awesome. I got to talk to a man named Matt and he was such an awesome person. He was open to sharing his story and he loved telling us stories from when he was a kid. After dinner we went upstairs for chapel and it was so cool seeing people just like us worshipping the exact same God. During chapel Ryan asked people to share their story and the thing that really got me was a guy named Danny. He said, "We're homeless but not hopeless." And that really just made me feel sad but also excited that he's not losing hope.
