Hurricane Relief Trip #2
This team will work alongside volunteers from Current Church in Katy, TX, just west of Houston, to help families recover from Hurricane Harvey. Most currently, this will include cleaning and removing mud from homes, tearing out waterlogged drywall, and removing debris. Flexibility is key as onsite needs are subject to change without notice. This trip will involve strenuous manual labor, so we ask that all those who apply be in good health and able to work hard for four consecutive days.
Who: Southeast members, 18 years or older, in good health, and have an approved volunteer background check on file with Southeast
Time frame: The team will leave early Monday morning and will return late Saturday night.
Transportation: Teams will travel together to Katy, Texas (14 hours) in 12-passenger vans.
Trip Cost: $300, which does not include meals to and from Katy
Lodging: Teams will lodge at Current Church. Team members will sleep in sleeping bags on the floor or may bring inflatable mattresses if preferred.

Requirements
Prerequisites
- Complete online application and $300 trip cost.
- All completed forms turned in immediately to the Missions Ministry.
- Immunizations – Southeast Mission Ministry supports the recommendations of the CDC. All team members MUST have a recent Tetanus shot.
Responsibilities
- Turn in all required paperwork immediately and pay trip cost at time of registration.
- Adhere to the Team Covenant at all times. *see Forms tab
- Trip cost does not include your spending money and meals going down to and coming home from Katy, Tx.
Restrictions
- Must be a Southeast member, with an approved Volunteer Background Check on file with Southeast.
- Must be 18 years or older.
