Chicago Church Plant Trip - SW High School
This trip is for high school students who have been invited to participate in this trip. Participation in student mission trips is overseen by each campus student ministry.
Southeast Missions is joining with two church plant partners in Chicago, Illinois to show a group of high school students from our Southwest Campus a glimpse of church planting in an urban setting. The group will partner with Community Christian Church-Lincoln Square and Renewal Church in the heart of Chicago for a few days of service as well as group time with church planters. This is a great opportunity for students to gain first-hand experience in serving a community in Jesus’ name.
Objectives
- Serve Renewal Church of Chicago and Community Christian by assisting with set up and volunteering during their services
- Serve the alongside the churches and their ministry partners in the community
- Meet with church planters in an effort to learn what is involved in church planting
- Bond with fellow students in the group as they learn and live out what it means to be Jesus to a community

Meet your team. Receive an overview of the trip. Receive fundraising information. Begin praying for the trip. This meeting generally occurs within two weeks after the application deadline.

Mandatory Retreat Required
This is mandatory for all trip participants and usually occurs 4 weeks prior to the trip departure date. You will participate in team building activities, review the team handbook, receive travel information, etc.

Prerequisites
- Complete online application and pay $50 non-refundable deposit.
- All required forms should be turned in by the application deadline.
Responsibilities
- Meet all paperwork and trip cost deadlines.
- Adhere to the Team Covenant at all times. *see Forms tab
- Attend all Team Meetings and Mandatory Retreat.
- Trip cost does not include your personal spending money.
Restrictions
- This trip is only for those students who are at least 13 years of age.

- Submit all required forms by the application deadline.
