Overview

 A group from Southeast will have the opportunity to love and encourage the residents and staff of Christian Churches Disability Ministry (CCDM). The team will create a fun day of activities at a nearby state park to provide a memorable experience for CCDM residents. Activities will include a cookout, pontoon rides, crafts, games and fellowship on Saturday. On Sunday, our team will host a worship service for CCDM residents and staff. This is an excellent opportunity to serve on a fun, weekend trip!

Objectives

  • Organize a day of food, boat rides, activities and fun!
  • Make lasting impressions of Jesus on the residents through our interaction and love

Considerations

  • This trip is for those looking for the opportunity to serve and love others with disabilities.
  • The residents of CCDM are all high-functioning adults and are very welcoming and loving.
  • All team members ages 9 and over will be required to complete a background assessment prior to leaving for this trip.
  • This trip includes overnight stays.

Requirements

Prerequisites

  1. Complete online application and pay $50 non-refundable deposit.
  2. All required forms should be turned in by the application deadline of June 23.

Responsibilities

  1. Meet all paperwork and trip cost deadlines.
  2. Adhere to the Team Covenant at all times. *see Forms tab
  3. Attend all Team Meetings and Mandatory Retreat.

Restrictions

  1. This trip is intended for individuals who are looking for an opportunity to serve together. Children ages 8 and older are welcome with parent.
  2. All team members ages 9 and over will be required to complete a background assessment prior to leaving for this trip.
  3. Team will travel to Knoxville by van.
