Nairobi/Turkana, Kenya - June 5-16, 2026!

This June, join Southeast Christian Church for a 10-day mission trip with Release International Missions (RIM), traveling through Kenya to serve in Nairobi and Turkana. With a team maximum of 10 people, this trip is open to those 18 and older who are passionate about making a tangible difference in the lives of two particularly vulnerable groups: widows and people living with disabilities. The team will be leading leadership development workshops for pastors and church leaders, trauma healing and support groups for young widows, training leaders in special ed and working with people and children living with disabilities, and leading discipleship and Bible teaching seminars for youth and young adults. There will be opportunities for team members to preach and share the Word in different contexts. If you have training or expertise in working with widows, people living with disabilities, or youth—or personal lived experience that can be used to inspire and encourage—your impact will be even greater.  This is more than a trip; it’s a chance to bring compassion, dignity, and joy to those who need it most while experiencing the beauty and resilience of Kenya.

There are a few requirements to attend this trip.

1. Complete a Southeast Volunteer Application sent to you by Short-Term Missions.

2. Complete the online MinistrySafe training supplied by Short-Term Missions via email link.

3. All trips require a deposit, which is non-refundable. The IRS considers all monies going towards a mission trip as a charitable donation. To comply with IRS guidelines, we are unable to refund any monies submitted.

4. Once registration opens, you may begin fundraising. Please be aware, at no time are donations refundable. They are considered charitable contributions by the IRS, and as such, can not be refunded.

5. All passports must be valid six (6) months after return date. If your passport will be expiring within that time frame, it will need to be renewed ASAP.

6. Most common food allergens: cows milk; eggs; peanuts.
