Hungary- 2026

In 2026, Southeast Christian Church is packing its bags for an exciting adventure to Hungary to partner with Josiah Venture! From the vibrant streets of Budapest to the rolling countryside, our team will dive into a week full of youth camps, creative activities, sports, and small group discussions, all designed to build friendships and share the love of Jesus in fun, meaningful ways. Hungary’s students are eager for connection, and our team will get to encourage local leaders, spark hope in young hearts, and plant seeds of faith that will continue to grow long after we leave. Get ready for a week of laughter, energy, and life-changing experiences as we serve, connect, and see God move in this beautiful country!

There are a few requirements to attend this trip.

1. Complete a Southeast Volunteer Application sent to you by Short-Term Missions.

2. Complete the online MinistrySafe training supplied by Short-Term Missions via email link.

3. All trips require a deposit, which is non-refundable. The IRS considers all monies going towards a mission trip as a charitable donation. To comply with IRS guidelines, we are unable to refund any monies submitted.

4. Once registration opens, you may begin fundraising. Please be aware, at no time are donations refundable. They are considered charitable contributions by the IRS, and as such, can not be refunded.

5. All passports must be valid six (6) months after return date. If your passport will be expiring within that time frame, it will need to be renewed ASAP.

6. Most common food allergens: milk in turos csusza (traditional dish of cottage cheese and bacon) and rakott krumpli (layered potato casserole with eggs, sausage, and sour cream); eggs in langos (a deep fried flat bread topped with sour cream and cheese) and hortobagyi palacsinta (savory pancakes will with meat and topped with paprika sauce); tree nuts in items such as bejgli (a traditional pastry filled with poppy seeds or walnuts) and kurtoskalacs (a sweet, chimney shaped pastry often sprinkled with nuts).
