Scotland - Edinburgh
Join Southeast Christian Church on an impactful 8-day mission trip to Glasgow, Scotland, where you'll serve alongside 20schemes to support church plants in the West of Scotland. This small team of no more than seven individuals (ages 18 and older) will participate in hands-on building projects and community outreach initiatives that share the love of Christ and strengthen the presence of local churches in underserved neighborhoods. Through partnership with 20schemes, you'll have the opportunity to experience ministry in a cross-cultural urban setting while contributing to long-term Gospel work. Please note: a UK Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) is required for entry.
There are a few requirements to attend this trip.
1. Complete a Southeast Volunteer Application sent to you by Short-Term Missions.
2. Complete the online MinistrySafe online training send to you from the Short-Term Missions ministry.
3. All trips require a deposit, which is non-refundable. The IRS considers all monies going towards a mission trip as a charitable donation. To comply with IRS guidelines, we are unable to refund any monies submitted.
4. Once registration opens, you may begin fundraising. Please be aware, at no time are donations refundable. They are considered charitable contributions by the IRS, and as such, can not be refunded.
5. All passports must be valid six (6) months after return date. If your passport will be expiring within that time frame, it will need to be renewed ASAP.
6. Most common food allergens: dairy, tree nuts, and gluten.
7. UK countries require a UK Electronic Travel Authorization prior to arrival. Short-Term Missions will help team members obtain the ETA.

Requirements
Prerequisites
- Southeast Volunteer Application must be completed within 5 days of trip application. Missions Ministry will send to each applicant who has not already completed one or needs a renewal.
- MinistrySafe online training must be complete by deadline.
- NON-REFUNDABLE $100 deposit is required at time of application.
Responsibilities
- SE Volunteer Application completed.
- Mandatory attendance at team meeting(s) and overnight team retreat.
- If your passport expires within six (6) months of trip return, it needs to be renewed prior to trip departure.
- It is the team member's responsibility to fundraise for the trip. If fundraising goals are not met, participant will either be required to cover the amount not raised or drop from trip.
- All deadlines must be met and participant acknowledges missing a deadline will cause disqualification from trip.
- Read & agree to the Social Media Policy.
- UK ETA: Short-Term Missions will provide team with necessary requirements to obtain the ETA.
Restrictions
- This trip requires participants 18+ only. Please read full descriptions before applying.
- Physical Limitations: This trip requires copious amounts of walking and long days. Please speak to the team leader for more information about the trip before applying if you think you might not be able to walk to long hours.
- Allergies: If you have a severe allergy requiring the use of Epi-Pens in a critical situation, please discuss with team leader.
