Mission Trip: CrossRoads Appalachian - 920 HSM Spring Break
Overview: Come serve the local community in Appalachia, Kentucky, helping families connect to Christ and the hope of the gospel!
Mission: CrossRoads Missions Appalachia desires to partner with area ministries and organizations to improve the standard of living, raise expectations, and find hope in the grace of Christ for families in Eastern Kentucky. They hope to do this with opportunities to build relationships with community members by developing and implementing community activities and assisting in home repairs.
Activities:
Every trip is a little different, but you can expect to spend time in worship, devotions, and/or ministering to others. These times are used to prepare and challenge you throughout the week.
During the week, the team will spend time caring for local youth & families via community events in Maytown Center/Mountain Community Fellowship. Evening activities will include cookouts, game nights, local concerts, & other activities to experience the culture & impact the community by showing them the love of Jesus.

Cost:
$600 (includes travel, lodging, meals, and all mission-related activities). It does not include souvenirs.
Who Should Join?
This trip is for Southwest campus members looking to love God and serve others in a hands-on way. Individuals with construction and repair experience will be a huge benefit to this team!

Requirements
Prerequisites
- Southeast Volunteer Application must be completed within 5 days of trip application. Missions Ministry will send to each applicant who has not already completed one.
- MinistrySafe online training must be complete within 5 days of trip application.
- Non-refundable $50 deposit is required at time of application.
Responsibilities
- Complete all Southeast required forms by the first trip meeting.
- Mandatory attendance at team meeting(s) and overnight team retreat. If you can't attend the retreat (3 weeks before trip departure) please consider a different trip.
- It is the team member's responsibility to fundraise for the trip. If fundraising goals are not met, participant will either be required to cover the amount not raised or drop from trip.
- All deadlines must be met and participant acknowledges missing a deadline will cause disqualification from trip.
- Read & agree to the Social Media Policy.
