2024 CrossRoads Missions Appalachia - MSM/HSM Fall Break
This trip is open to everyone and is being facilitated by the Indiana campus.
Southeast Christian Church Missions Ministry is excited to invite our Indiana campus high school & middle school ministries to be part of a Fall Break US short-term mission trip in the mountains of Appalachia, Kentucky.
Approved participants will spend the week serving alongside our CrossRoads Missions partner in Eastern Kentucky.
Each trip is always a little different, but you can expect to spend time in worship, devotions, &/or ministering to others. These times are used to prepare & challenge you throughout the week.
You will also be spending time on CrossRoads led construction projects. These projects are great for any skill level & trained staff & interns will be supervising projects such as: bathroom remodels, demolition (who doesn’t love tearing down a wall?!?!?), wheelchair ramp construction, putting roofs on houses, painting, & other jobs that pop up.
During the week, the team will spend time caring for local youth & families via community events in Maytown Center/Mountain Community Fellowship. Evening activities will include cookouts, game nights, local concerts, & other activities to experience the culture & impact the community by showing them the love of Jesus.
1) Trip members must be adult members of Southeast Christian church or have verified attended for at least 6 months. Youth over age 12 applying must have a parent applying and both must actively participate on all aspects of the trip.
2) Trip members must be able to actively walk long distances over uneven terrain and climb stairs.
3) Daily basic travel insurance is included in your trip costs.

This US trip is for high school and middle school aged students & adult chaperones.
CrossRoads Missions - Appalachia improves the standard of living, raises expectations, & finds hope in the grace of Christ for individuals & families in Appalachia by connecting local residents to Christ-centered ministries through service projects & youth events.
Once you are approved for the trip, your primary point of contact will be your Team Leader. They will keep you apprised of team meetings, retreat dates, forms to be completed, & assist you as needed.

Requirements
Prerequisites
- If over the age of 18, MinistrySafe must be completed and current. The Missions Ministry will send this to each person who does not have it after they have signed up for the trip.
- Participants over 18 must have a current Southeast Volunteer Application. Missions will send if it is needed.
Responsibilities
- All participants must complete forms by the due date listed.
- All participants must honor the Team Covenant signed when they applied for the trip.
Restrictions
- Vehicle drivers must be over 25 years old and cleared as Authorized Drivers through SE Safety & Security.
