2024 LIA Kenya

The Southeast Christian SW Campus is facilitating a trip to join our missions partner, Life in Abundance, in Kiritiri, Kenya..  The trip is open to anyone who would like to apply.  

Each trip varies but the team could expect to see a lot of micro-enterprises, school involvement, and sports evangelism. In the past, the teams have visited children's ministries, the Salvation Army Church, pastors homes where teams prayed over the pastors, and working with youth.

Culturally, Kenya culture is very formal with a lot of introductions, which all home visits require.  For individuals interested in joining this trip, learning as much as you can about the culture will really help you once on the field.  The team leaders will equip the team ahead of the trip so everyone will be prepared and flexible.

LIA has been a long term partner with Southeast Christian and is an African-founded, African-led, and faith-based community development organization.  For over 25 years, LIA has been serving to empower those in need, seeing God change the lives of individuals and whole communities through the local church.  They empower local churches to serve the poor and vulnerable, creating sustainable transformation in their communities.

Restrictions:
1) Trip members must be adult members of Southeast Christian church or have verified attended for at least 6 months.  Youth over age 12 applying must have a parent applying and both must actively participate on all aspects of the trip.  
2) Trip members must have a current passport with an expiration date that goes 6 months beyond the last day of the trip.  
3) Trip members must be able to actively walk long distances over uneven terrain and climb stairs.  
4) Daily basic travel insurance is included in your trip costs.
